What Our Customers Say About Us

“It is so convenient, and I love that I can let the money collect until I’m ready to withdraw it.”

– Laurie (Stafford Springs, CT)

“How easy: collect bottles in a bag, bring to station at the grocery, no waiting in line for machines, or waiting for a machine to be emptied.”

– Sara (Bethel, CT)

“I love the ease of use, the accessibility, it’s just the easiest way to recycle and I appreciate the ability to donate my funds.”

– Courtney (Vernon, CT)

“Convenient, less mess.”

– Donnelle (Weathersfield, CT)

– Mary (South Windsor, CT)

“It is super easy and convenient to just fill a bag… and drop it in a bin.”

“We use CLYNK in Maine at our camp. We absolutely love the convenience of having a drop-off for returnables. Currently, in our area, it is inconvenient to do redemption as you have to feed bottles or cans one at a time, not a machine, so we dump them into the recycling bin. How wonderful it would be to have CLYNK in Waterford, CT hopefully SOON! PLEASE COME TO WATERFORD, CT.”

– Susan (Waterford, CT)

“So easy to use! It’s a no-brainer to put your items in the bag & drop them off when your bag is full!”

About Us

What Makes Us CLYNK?

CLYNK makes bottle and can redemption clean, simple, and worth your time.

Just fill a CLYNK bag with redeemable beverage containers, tag it, and drop it off. We’ll take it from there.

Your containers are scanned, processed, and credited electronically to your personal CLYNK account. Then they’re sorted by material, aluminum, plastic, and glass, and returned to the recycling stream so they can become containers again.
No counting. No sorting. No waiting around.

With CLYNK, recycling is easier, more rewarding, and built for real life.
You get your deposits back. Your containers get another life. And together, we help make yesterday’s containers tomorrow’s containers.

FAQs

How does it work?

CLYNK takes the hassle out of redemption.

Fill a CLYNK bag with empty, redeemable beverage containers purchased in Connecticut, add your bag tag, and drop it off at a participating Stop & Shop location. No sorting. No waiting.

We collect your bag, process each container, and credit your account for the full deposit value. After processing, containers are sorted by aluminum, plastic, and glass and returned to the recycling stream, where they can become containers again.

In Connecticut, we offer two ways to CLYNK:

Grow Your Balance

This is the standard CLYNK option that allows you to grow your CLYNK balance over time and withdraw any amount at any time.

We process each container in your CLYNK bag and then credit your account with the exact deposit amount.

$5 Instant Deposit

With this option, you are responsible for counting the containers in each bag.

Fill each CLYNK bag with 50 redeemable containers, drop it off at the depot and $5.00 will be credited to your account as an Instant Deposit. You can head into Stop & Shop, withdraw the $5 cash slip, and redeem it with a store associate.

How do I start?

There are four easy ways to get started with CLYNK. The easiest way is to sign up at the CLYNK kiosk inside any participating Stop & Shop. You can also download the CLYNK CT mobile app, sign up online at ct.clynk.com, or call our friendly Customer Support team at 866-883-4171. Our team is available Monday through Friday from 9 am to 8 pm (EST) and weekends from 9 am to 5 pm (EST). They’re friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely want to help you with any question or issue—or even if you just want to call and say hello.

Once you have your account, print your unique Bag Tags. Each tag has a code that allows us to identify your bag and credit your containers accurately.
Next, purchase CLYNK bags inside the store, or use your own 13-gallon kitchen trash bags with a drawstring tie. Fill each bag with mixed redeemable beverage containers purchased in Connecticut. Aluminum, plastic, and glass all go in the same bag — no need to sort. Place one Bag Tag on each bag in the designated spot, then drop your bags at the CLYNK station in the parking lot.

What do I need to do to CLYNK?

What do I need to do to CLYNK?

•To be a successful CLYNKer you will need to follow the Connecticut guidelines of what is accepted for deposit, click here for the full list.

•Make sure your containers aren’t crushed so we can scan the barcode.

•Keep caps on containers when you can and mix aluminum, plastic, and glass within your CLYNK bag to reduce breakage.

•Tie your CLYNK bags tightly so no containers can escape out the top.

•Place one Bag Tag on each CLYNK bag, scan each Bag Tag to unlock the station door, and associate the bag with your account. Repeat for each bag you drop off.

Where do I get my bags?
